Q: How much do event flowers cost? 

A: This is usually one of the first questions we receive when planning a full service event. The answer is- it all depends! Each event is unique, and factors such as specific flower requests, season, guest and wedding party count, requested size and fullness of each arrangement/bouquet/garland etc all vary depending on each individual floral vision and client. For this reason, no full service event set pricing is possible. Prices are calculated after a consultation in which all the details and specifics are discussed, so we know exactly what you're looking for (and what we are being asked to create) before giving a price. 

Q: Why do you ask for my budget? 

A: Planning an event or wedding includes many different elements, vendors, and considerations. Here at Hemlock and Hellebore, we always have an honest conversation about your comfortable budget at the beginning of the planning stage. Working with a designated budget from the start allows us to create a proposal that is realistic and helpful for our clients when considering their options, and leads to a more streamlined consultation process. We work with our clients to execute a floral vision within their specific budget, whatever it may be. 

Q: What does the booking process look like:

A: After you contact me with your event request, we will email a reply and let you know if we are available, and if so- set up a consultation time. During the consultation we will learn about you and your event, review your vision and inspiration, and go over your event details and budget. Once we have the information we need, we will put together a proposal that best balances your wishlist items and desired budget. The proposal then makes its way to you and if you decide to move forward a contract is sent over and signed, and a 30% deposit secures your date!

Q: Can you tell me exactly what flowers will be in my pieces? 

A: The short answer? No, and you wouldn't want us to! We prioritize seasonal and local flowers here at Hemlock and Hellebore. This means we don't know exactly what will be available until shortly before the event. We will discuss flowers that are generally in season at the time of your event as a guide for what is likely to be included, and of course we will always try to include your favorite flowers in our creations whenever possible.
